​Friends of SMA School for the Deaf 501c3 represents EEESMA School for the Deaf in the United States and ​offers official tax receipts to American Donors through the Zeffy platform

Scholarships

The school offers three sponsorship levels. This is how your donation will be used to further a child's an education to a Deaf child in San Miguel de Allende:

Friend - US$200 annual contribution or US$20 per month ensures a nutritious breakfast snack and hot lunch every school day for one child.

Partner - US$500 annual contribution or US$40 per month  provides a LSM class each month over the school term.

Sponsor - US$1200/Cdn $1500 annual contribution or US$100/Cdn$125 per month sponsors a Student and helps support all of the educational or vocational programs that the school has underway and is planning for the near future. In addition to the joy this will bring, you will receive:
  • Quarterly newsletters providing updates and school photos
  • A courtesy invitation to our Annual Luncheon
  • A tax receipt for the deductible portion of your annual contribution​

Vocational Training

Help young Deaf students receive the skills training they need to become employed in the outside hearing world or, as an alternative, become part of a working cooperative with other Deaf adults. 

Community Outreach

Help us reach out to other Deaf youngsters and their families, most of whom are low income, and to assist them with transportation costs so that those living a distance away can attend EEESMA School for the Deaf. The recent acquisition of a passenger van by way of a grant from San Miguel Community Foundation is now making it possible to bring students living in rural communities to attend school regularly. Operating costs are high. Your donation will help us reach many more children.
